Clinical Hypnotherapy

The sessions are confidential....

......... and the journey is yours…

When you are hypnotised you will become pleasantly relaxed and free from tension. You remain aware throughout the process, aware of where you are and of what you are doing and because the experience is so pleasant, you drift – and allow your conscious mind to float free……

Because of the gentleness of the process many people are not aware that they have entered the trance state – but they have, the conscious mind is floating free and the subconscious is processing the possibility of a whole new you!

There are signs that some one has entered trance and these can include some or all of the following;

A pleasant feeling of relaxation

Rapid eye movement

A fluttering of the eyelids

A feeling of increased heavyness or lightness

The breath slowing as the rhythm of your breathing slows down

You can choose to come back to full awareness at any time – whenever you wish

Be assured – a hypnotist cannot make you say or do anything you don’t want to, you are in complete control throughout the process – I stress this to all my clients, for your own peace of mind.

How does it work?

Our bodies do many repetative tasks every moment of the day.  Directed by our minds we digest food, we see, or hear, or  walk - our blood pumps around our bodies, we filter impurities and yes, because of all the information our brains recieve through our senses, we filter information.  All this via our subconscious mind.  When you enter a trance it is because your conscious mind took some down time and your subconscious mind took over.

Hypnosis is a natural state – and the ability to go into a hypnotic trance is a normal part of human behaviour.  A good way to think about the process of hypnosis is to think of being in a state of deep relaxation and focus. As your conscious mind becomes detached from everyday worries, your subconscious takes you on a journey, and this journey is known as entering a state of trance.
